They did everything they could to work around our move-in date, despite the very short notice. The price is also very reasonable.

Azzo has given my whole flat a fresh new look, and I was delighted with our collaboration. Matching wallpaper, polished concrete in the bathrooms, matt or gloss paint – everything was carried out with a commitment to a high-quality finish; careful preparation, attention to detail, discussions on design choices (access hatches, joints, corners, etc.) and deadlines. Right from the quote stage, their professionalism was evident: no empty promises, just a comprehensive list of tasks and measurements at a reasonable price. Thank you to these reliable tradespeople, with whom you can bring your projects to life with complete peace of mind.

Venetian Stucco - Frequently asked questions

Stucco is a top-of-the-range decorative wall coating traditionally made from slaked lime and marble powder. Applied in several thin coats and then polished, it gives walls a smooth, shiny finish with a superb marble effect. This hand-crafted covering imitates the look of marble, adding a touch of luxury and refinement to interiors, hence its historic use in Italian palaces and prestigious villas.

Yes, that's right. Thanks to its mineral composition, stucco is highly resistant to damp and lets walls breathe, making it ideal for damp rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens. It is unaffected by temperature variations and prevents condensation from forming. You can therefore apply Venetian stucco in a bathroom for an elegant finish. However, it is advisable to protect areas directly exposed to water (shower cubicles, splashes) with a wax or water repellent, to ensure the surface remains waterproof. Apart from these precautions, this coating holds up very well in damp environments and even helps to prevent mould thanks to the lime.

Maintaining Venetian stucco is simple and minimal - a real asset in everyday life. Its smooth surface doesn't collect dirt easily. Regular dusting is usually all that's needed to clean it. To remove any stains or restore its shine, wipe the wall with a soft, slightly damp cloth - a damp cloth is all it takes to clean it effectively. You can use a diluted neutral soap if necessary, then wipe gently. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, as they could damage the finish. Properly cared for with these few simple gestures, your stucco will retain its shine and beauty for many years to come, without any particular effort.

Yes, Venetian stucco is renowned for its durability. Once dry, this mineral coating becomes as hard as stone, making it extremely resistant to knocks and wear. Properly applied Venetian stucco can last for decades, retaining its original appearance. It does not flake and the colours remain stable over time (the mineral pigments do not fade under UV light). This top-of-the-range coating tolerates the passing years very well: it retains its adhesion and finish without the need for frequent renovation. By choosing Venetian stucco, you're opting for a long-lasting decoration that will add lasting value to your interior, far beyond that of a traditional paint finish.
