Béton ciré Genève: the elegance of a seamless covering

Do you dream of a modern bathroom with clean lines, but the idea of breaking up your old tiles is holding you back? Blackened joints and fragmented aesthetics weigh down your interior, far from the «contemporary spa» ambience you want. Azzo transform your floors and walls in Geneva with waxed concrete: a mineral, waterproof solution that requires no major demolition work.

A bathroom makeover, without the inconvenience of building work

Waxed concrete isn't just an aesthetic choice, it's a technical renovation solution that's changing the game. No more noise, dust or endless rubble.

Application on tiles: «clean» renovation»

This is the key advantage of our expertise: thanks to its thinness (only 2 to 3 mm), waxed concrete covers your old tiles without creating any extra thickness that could cause problems for your doors. We create a smooth, continuous, modern surface where old-fashioned tiles once stood, all without demolition.

Walk-in shower and total waterproofing

The main fear in a wet room is water ingress. Contrary to popular belief, waxed concrete installed by experts is an impenetrable barrier to water. We treat the material with high-performance protective varnishes that make the surface waterproof. water-repellent and non-porous. Your walk-in shower becomes a watertight monolith, easy to clean with a simple wipe and with no joints to clog up.

Kitchens, living room floors and staircases: a unified design

Although we often think of bathrooms, waxed concrete can be used in all living areas to create visual harmony.

Living areas and heating compatibility

For your living rooms, waxed concrete offers a silky touch and excellent thermal conductivity. It is perfectly compatible with underfloor heating, It diffuses heat without loss. It's the warm, «living» alternative to cold tiles.

Single-piece kitchens and staircases

Imagine a worktop that extends into the credenza without the slightest visual break, or a staircase that appears to have been carved from a single block of stone. From stain-resistant worktops to designer staircases, we offer a range of finishes (matt, satin, gloss) to suit the intensive use of these areas.

Azzo expertise: over 25 years' experience

Waxed concrete is an art that does not tolerate improvisation. A poor preparation or an approximate mix, and it's guaranteed to crack. At Azzo, your project is in the hands of master craftsmen.

A story of passion and friendship

Azzo was born in 2018 from the association of’Aureliano and Harald. Their story dates back to 2000: two freelancers who met on building sites, respected each other and ended up sharing a common vision. With over 25 years' experience under their belts, they have joined forces to offer Geneva and the canton of Vaud an impeccable standard of finish.

Unique hand-crafted finishes

We don't install a standardised industrial product. We work with the material. Every textural effect, every nuance is the fruit of the craftsman's hand. Whether you're looking for a raw mineral look or a velvety finish, we adapt the gesture so that your wall or floor is a unique work of art.

Frequently asked questions about waxed concrete in Geneva

Undertaking renovation or decoration work legitimately raises technical questions. Because the success of your project depends on trust and transparency, we've put together a list of the most frequently asked questions about the installation, maintenance and durability of our waxed concretes.

Yes, in the vast majority of cases. The key is the preparation of the substrate. We apply a special primer and levelling compound if necessary to ensure that the ghost of the joints never reappears. It's the ideal solution for rapid renovation.

No, we adjust the finish for wet areas. Although the appearance is smooth, we use varnishes that offer a grip suitable for bare feet in a walk-in shower, combining safety and aesthetics.

Maintenance is very simple, because there are no joints for dirt to get trapped in. All you need to do is clean with a mild soap (such as black or Marseilles soap). To ensure the longevity of the seal, we recommend checking the protective varnish after a few years, depending on the intensity of use.

The total thickness is between 2 and 3 mm. This exceptional thinness means you can keep your existing door and window frames without having to plane them, unlike when laying new tiles over old ones.

Based in Satigny, we work throughout the canton of Geneva, but also on the Côte and in the canton of Vaud, for your top-of-the-range renovation and decoration projects.
